I am excited to share God’s Word with you in this concluding edition for the month! I believe that after having known and understood what the little foxes that can destroy the tender grapes in homes are, with their effects, you are ready to also learn about their Remedies.
There are remedies to the effects of these seemingly insignificant traits, and they are as follows:
Abstain from murmuring! Rather than grumble and complain over what you think is not alright or perfect yet, why not choose to remember and see the side that is alright and has been made perfect? Cease to complain over situations and issues in your life and home, and watch the hand of the Lord perfect that which remains to be perfected (Psalm 138:8).
Be thankful! Decide to acknowledge and consciously appreciate the acts of kindness of both God and man to you. After all, no matter what you may think is not working well for you or in your favour is someone else’s heart desire and prayer point! Maybe you are not grateful to God that you are alive, seeing a new day, but rather choose not to be grateful because you are yet to locate your life partner and be married. Do you know that some people in your age group are desiring and praying to God that they should at least be able to go through school successfully, while some are insane, crippled, bedfast, and some dead? Why not be grateful to God.
Choose as well to say these two words ‘Thank you’ to people for every good deed done, whether big or small.
Learn to choose your company wisely! Be selective in your association by wisdom, as friendship is not by force. Agreement should be the basis for any association. It is important to dissociate and break away from anyone who causes and brings tension into your home.
Forgive! Receive grace to forgive people when they hurt or offend you, even before they come to apologize to you, and even if they do not. The secret of instant forgiveness is one of the secrets of success in marriage and family life, as marriage is two forgivers living together! This is one principle that has helped my husband and I a great deal. Forgive people from your heart and forget their offences.
Be humble! Having learnt that pride abases a man, it is good for you to make yourself of no reputation in order to enjoy your home. Take on a meek and quiet spirit and see yourself being led, guided, and also taught by God.
Jesus Christ was meek, lowly in heart, made Himself of no reputation, and He earned a name that is above all other names (Philippians 2:5-11)! Be like Him.
Go for knowledge in the area that you are lacking! If you are struggling in your marriage, not experiencing the joy and bliss that you have heard about, simply settle down with the Word of God (The Holy Bible), other anointed books and materials. Ask God to open your eyes to see the truth concerning the marriage covenant, what He has said about it, what your responsibilities are, and the rewards for obeying His instructions.
When you fill yourself up with God’s Word concerning your home and situation, you will never run short of miracles. Obeying His instructions will open you up to joy unspeakable, full of glory in your home. A Christian home founded on the Word of God enjoys sweatless triumph in all the battles of life, and Satan is rendered powerless.
Are you ready and prepared to address the situation in your home by putting these remedies to work? Then if you have not made Jesus the Lord and Master over your life, you need to do so now, because it takes being in Christ to put the above remedies to work and have a turnaround situation in your home. Please say this prayer of faith with me:
Dear Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Now I know I am born again!
Congratulations! Till I come your way again next week, call or write, and share your testimonies with me through:
